Food For Thought

5 Simple Things you can do NOW:

1 – Shop at stores that support local growers and look for the local organic options for your food staples.
2 – Eat at restaurants that support local, organic farmers.
3 – Shop at your local Farmers’ Market at least once during growing season.
4 – Join a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) for local produce and dairy.
5 - Shop at Locally Grown Clothing Co. and promote your local community.

Choosing locally grown foods helps support the growers, producers and food-makers in your community.  It is an earth-friendly way to shop and eat, as local foods have a shorter distance to travel from source, to store, to table; and helps ensure that the food you bring home is as fresh, nutritious and flavorful as possible. You don't have to be an organic purist to eat better. Vote with your food dollars for tastier, healthier food.
